Ive heard somewhere before, that a good bribe for taking someones picture is, candy.

David likes to give Amanda and I a hard time about our “Candy addiction” apparently, he says, in every country we have been to – we go out of our way to find our “Candy” of choice – or something like that.  Usually we go for gummy worms, or something of the like.  It really should have been no surprise to him that when we saw a big bag of war heads on the sale rack, we jumped them.  Normally priced at $6 we got them for under $2.  We also like a good deal.

When we got home, David was teasing about putting more than one in his mouth – he has a love/hate relationship with them as well.  Being the good friend that I am, encouraged him, to do so.  To see how many he could get in at once – I would take pictures.

And he did.

He put three in at once.  While I laughed, and took pictures – I know, nice of me isnt it?  Teach him to tease me about gummy worms again!!  🙂

His famous last words?  “Im going to regret doing this”

Not bad…not bad at all…

OK, maybe it is…

Im sorry, but I can only laugh at this one:

Is it just me, or does he resemble the “War head man” in these next two?

EXTREME

SOUR

“My throat felt swollen it was so sour”

Its probably a good thing Amanda wasnt there watching.  She might not have been impressed 🙂

Thanks for the photo opp David – next time lets try four!

The whales have been out here for the past few days – I havent been able to get any really good shots of them…yesterday when we were riding along the docks – the whales were SO close to the docks, but instead of taking a picture, we just sort of stood there staring…and had a delayed “GET THE CAMERA” sort of moment going on.

They were really cool to watch, and although the pictures arent that great I thought I would post a few just for fun…

The birds would get all excited and try to land on the whales back when it came up.

Blowing…

Crooked horizons – arg!! 🙂

I want to work this one a little better – it was a really cool picture.  Or, you know, COULD have been!

Good-bye!

I almost didnt post these, because I am just…tired, and it took so long to get them uploaded!  Something about a 12 mile bike ride day before yesterday, and a 20 mile ride yesterday – staying up until the wee hours…and getting up at the regular time…yea.  Im.  Tired.

I had to do a little thinking on the word “Serene” and eventually asked Amanda for the meaning.  Peaceful, is what she told me.  And so I went with it.  It seemed sort of difficult, to capture…

Town is really quiet this time of year.  Not so peaceful.  But quiet.  Biking to town is fun, but again…not too peaceful…

But the water looked so peaceful, it has that way about it.  Away from the busyness of life.  Away from the people and the noise.

And this one…I had to use too.  The classical “Tourist” picture…only without the tourist, and with snow on the mountains.  It seemed to fit.

I actually cant believe I have held out this long…Coffee is probably hands down, one of the best things in the morning.  Ok, scratch that…coffee is the ONLY thing good in the morning – and its good all day long too.

Daylight savings time?  Not so great.  Especially when you forget to, um, you know, set the clocks back?  In all honesty we KNOW what time it is, our computers automatically set things back, and we even made it to church on time Sunday.

But our dining room clock?  Is still an hour behind.  And will most likely remain behind until Spring.  Because no one dares to touch it.  If one person sets it back, another wont know this, and we will be an hour late (automatic calculation).  Or someone else will set it back as well, and we will be even later!

All that is a long way to say – this morning mom woke us up – and we didnt realize until we got to the car (the only place where the time is right) and it was only 7.  Not 8.

Ahh yes.

Coffee.

Or cappuccino more like it.  MUCH better than Dutch’s 🙂 (just dont tell him!):
