When you have an endless, empty sea of sand on the Oregon coast

…with the day laid out before us, as empty as the beach, we set to work…

No buckets, or shovels, just our hands and imaginations

I made spirals…That as usual, got conned “The dungeon.”  If you look closely you can see a tunnel in the shadow, leading from my “Dungeon” to Amandas “Castle”

David did stars, and other shapes

And Amanda made a classical castle with doors and motes, and underground tunnels that connected to the rest

The finished product:

Yes it was windy.  Yes it was “Fall.”  Yes that is why the beaches were probably empty!

It was a fun day on the beach…until next time!

Good bye sand city!

I really missed not being able to participate these past few weeks!!

A big hello to everyone again!

I took all these last week in Oregon where the sun was shining and hot, and it was so pretty…and its hard to believe that now, were back here, with winds like this. But yea its good to be back.

And twenty points to someone who can tell me what exactly these things are:

I couldnt resist.  I had to post some pictures.  I had a “Thing” with getting “Up close and personal” to things this trip.  I mean, of course, with things like flower and bugs (something Ive never done before).  And now I really want a macro lens.  But here are some up close shots of bugs and flowers.

Fruit:

Grapes

Apples

Plants:

Leaf

Flower

Pretty Pink

Sun Flower (check out the center – they look like little daffodils)

Buds

Rose

Thorns

Wheat (I discovered that much like the horizon with the ocean – the horizon with a wheat field looks better when straight)

Bugs:

Lady Bug

Lady Bug – Lady Bug

Praying Mantas (this was a bit creepy to get – zooming in on his face and seeing his eyes so close)

My apologies for stating the obvious.  I couldnt resist.

Slowly.  Returning.  Maybe if I say that enough it will actually become a reality.  There are so many things I want to write and say, and I want to record this trip into great details, because this last month, and these next few months are some that I really NEED to record.  For reasons that I cant explain, or wont explain, just yet.

The power was out off and on for the past four days, or five days.  This is the first morning that we waken up and had power – hoping that it isn’t going out soon.  The paper stack is slowly coming down, or atleast starting to make more sense.  My reader has come down to the 300 mark and Im hopeful to start actually visiting some of my favorites sometime and actually being able to comment again sometime in the near future.

I have so many pictures I want to share.  This trip was awesome.  It was warm.  It was beautiful.  It was amazing. The only problem is I don’t know where to start.  I pick on picture, and I don’t stop.  I keep picking more and more and posting them all, and then it ends up a big picture-y mess and Im more confused than I am happy.

I need ideas, ways to post it all, Ive thought going in order by date – but that seems boring.  Ive thought theme, but there is only one main theme that runs through the whole trip – and that would just make a bigger mess.

I hope to be back, soon, with pictures and stories, and oodles of goodness…

But I will see.

Because for now, I have a giant stack of paper work, a pile of bills, and hundreds of thoughts coupled with a thousand and one pictures to share.
