Today was the last day in our road tripping adventures, we only had a small section to cover and not that many things we planned to see, the plan was pretty simple, we were going to do a little bit of shopping, meet up with a friend in LA then head to Anaheim.

We managed to find a mall just outside of Santa Barbara that was pretty much mind blowing, at least for us Islanders! There was literally every shop you could ever want there, coming from a small town where most of your clothes shopping is done online made this even more mind blowing. It was literally like the online world come to life.

Once we finished a brief detour there, we hit the road. Our original plan was to head to Anaheim, check into our motel -then drive back to LA for dinner with a friend, but when we hit LA traffic became really congested. We spent a good few hours driving just a few miles -so we decided against that plan, and instead decided to head to the beach to wait.

We made our way to Long Beach, where we hit up a beach to kill some time until dinner.

I didn’t get any pictures, but Long Beach was one of those places that if we had extra time -we probably would have spent some time checking it out.

After a brief stay at the beach, we went to dinner then headed to Anaheim for the night.

It is generally recommended to spend a week (minimum) on the California coastal highway -we spent a total of four full days there. We were able to see a lot of things -but we also were able to see how you would be able to spend a whole lot more time there -I can see even spending a few weeks and not being able to see everything.

We had mapped out a general idea of where we wanted to go and a few main things we wanted to see and booked motels ahead of time -enabling us to maximize our time on the road and make the most of our time on the road.

All in all, it was a great trip with so many wonderful memories made along the road, amazing sites and beautiful scenery.

    Hi Christina,
Looks like you covered a lot of ground with the small time you had. Have you had a chance to visit the Redwood National Park? It is one of my destinations to photograph. btw, Is it possible to contact you for a photo gig? I couldn’t find any contact info, so I thought I would ask here. Thanks.
