Saying good-bye is always the hardest, especially when its such a great place, and having had such a great time.
The weather forecast for the day was “Rain” but Italy’s version of rain, and Alaska and England’s is apparently different. We suited up with rain gear and coats and prepared for the worse. A few drops of rain later – and then warm wind and sun for most of the day.
One last walk down by the coast, one more ice cream, and a few knick-knacks completed our last day in Italy. Palm Sunday, everyone had palm branches and olive leaves.
Bags are packed, floors are swept clean, and blankets folded back up. Our euros are sorted, tickets complete, and ride to the airport secured.
Good-bye Italy. Until we meet again!
Have a safe trip back home!
