Already day 5, one more day to go. Time has gone so fast here! 70 degrees today, our wants to go swimming were fulfilled.
We “Rode” the waves into the shore, and got covered in sand.
Sun kissed burnt faces and arms were well worth it.
Strawberries on the beach, and sand between your toes with sun on your back.
The locals are still in winter coats and hats – but we were splashing in the ocean, soaking in the rays.
Fresh baked rolls, mozzarella balls, and green olives.
Bike rides on pine needle filled trails, mixed up words, and Italian Gelato (Ice cream) while taking a rest from the hot sun.
Bumpy roads, and windy streets. Hidden shops, riding on the road.
Smiles from strangers, JD sleeping in his seat on the bike.
These are the things I dont want to forget. The things I wont remember. I will have no problem remembering the big things, the major events. But the small things. The way the stores smell, the way the old round buildings look. The kid who played dodge my bike. The sanding of the boats. The hidden trails, and trips up the stairs. Riding the waves into the shore. Laughing. Joking. Being.
