Last night I went to bed, as I lay there I tried to figure out what the noise I was hearing was. Cat in the attic? Dog running loose? Birds on the roof? It took a few minutes, but I finally figured out: It was rain. I guess its been a few days since it has rained here. Also waking up this morning and not being frozen when getting out of bed was nice.
Today I am thankful for warmer (above 20 degrees!) weather. And rain.
And yes, I realize it totally contradicts what I said yesterday. But hey – Im thankful for the rain today 🙂

I love the sound of rain. It’s so peaceful – so soothing – even in a storm I feel the calm.
(Not extreme storms though. Those can be scary.)
