Tangled Thoughts

I told Amanda we had to buy peaches this week.  Anyone know the difference between a peach and nectarine?  Apparently there is a difference.  Even though they looked strikingly similar.  The nectarines were ripe.  The peaches werent.  But we bought them.  And they are still sitting here.  Waiting to get ripe.

Today, however, when Davids dad came over, he burst my bubble by telling me that these were, infact, not peaches, but nectarines.  Even though the store said they were peaches.  Apparently…there wasnt a difference between “Peaches” and “Nectarines” atleast not at the store!  Amanda confessed she thought they were a “British Peach” when really, they are just “Naked peaches” or, you know, nectarines.

See?  Peaches!

Amanda is big on her tea.  She just happened to have some “Peach” “London” tea.  Dont ask me what it is, I dont know.  Just that its London Peach tea.

And then there is this little peach (my nephew, Judah!) with the sweetest, peachiest skin ever!

Then this morning Amanda came in with some flowers.  “Let me get pictures of these!  They are peach colored!”

Apparently…we need to work on color AND fruit recognition over here.  Those looked a little on the…yellow side.  But then again, those peaches DID look a little on the nectarine side.  Ah well.  Heres to a peach (or nectarine!) of a week!
