This afternoon I took Yoshi on a short walk from the house to the shop, by the time we got inside we were both very VERY wet.  I realized how thankful I am for a dryer!  A simple contraption that dries your clothes!  Imagine!

But then I got to thinking about our travels to England a few years ago – when we had to use on of these contraptions:

The only thing they are good at is stabbing people in the eye.  Im pretty sure I caught Amanda on that once or twice – or maybe I just pulled her hair with it.  Or both.  I know there were quite a few incidents involving the “Rotating stick that you hang your clothes on” and a few were a bit embarrassing, to say the least.  Hanging your clothes on the line to dry is a little more embarrassing than sticking them in a dryer – especially when the hanger thingy is located right out the back door – where everyone stands to talk.  While your … clothes … flap happily in the breeze.

Plus on days like today – when its pouring rain, I don’t think they would do us a whole lot of good – unless we used them as a washer!

Last night after reading about an accident here in town – I immediately knew what I was thankful for.  Actually, I take that back.  I had a flood of things I was thankful for – and had no way to get them out.  I am, thankful for life itself.  And all the lives that are in my life!

I was thinking last night about what it would be like to not having these people in my life – sure, we dont always get along, we dont always see eye to eye, dont always agree, dont always communicate the best – but I am so SO thankful they are in my life.

Today I am thankful for life.  For every breath that has been given to not only me, but the ones I love.

I know my #5 was thankful for my family – but today I am more specifically thankful for mom (and well, dad too haha).  Hi mom!  Shes currently over in England visiting Capn (and Mr JD, and David and everyone else – but mostly JD :))

Last weekend I had a 4 day “break” – with dad being down south, and mom having left – and really?  It was kind of quiet here!

Today is mom and dads anniversary – (and Amanda & Davids….year and some odd month anniversary day too) so today I am thankful for mom.

And not just because she puts up with me unlike anyone else.

Happy Anniversary mom (and dad lol).

Love you MOSTEST!

Mom and her favorite daughter – Me!  😀

(Just incase there was any confusion there mom!)

Today I feel I am on the verge of some sort of cold, hopefully not, but today I am thankful for health, and thankful that aside from the occasional winter cold – we dont usually get too sick.

Can we say….man flu?

Yea.  I have man flu.

(thanks Capn for the pic)
