Outside flowers are a little difficult to come by this time of year, but I had noticed a pretty pink rose in our garden earlier this week, and knew I wanted to take advantage of it for these weeks challenge.  But as the days wore on, the rain wouldnt let up, and fearing that the heavy winds would take off with my only flower for the week – I decided to brave the rain.

Thing is, Nik doesnt like the rain, and so after a few blurry shots, he stopped shooting altogether, forcing me into the house to grab a towel and umbrella and try again.  Umbrellas dont work here, with the winds, they more or less go all cartoon style stupid.  But there I was, bend over a thorn infested rose bush in the pouring rain with my camera and an umbrella who preferred to be inside out.  Which of course is when all the neighbors decided to drive on by.

Im sure by now they dont even bother to question what I am up to 🙂

Either way, this is what I came up with:

Most call these weeds, I called it “perfect!”:

Clovers:

I had a hard time narrowing these down:

Then we had a bit of sun, so I decided to retry the roses one last time:

But I kind of liked the ones in the rain better!

Amanda also had a picture to add this week, some Pansy’s from England!:

And then this cute little star shaped flower:

I thought it looked really neat with the light behind it.  Thanks Capn 🙂

I love the roses with the rain drops. Absolutely beautiful! Way to take advantage and brave the weather. As far as the white flower, I love the third one as well.

These are all beautiful flowers, but I think the roses in the rain are my favorite also.
